Thai Jicama Seeds - Heirloom

Thai Jicama is harvestable after 6 to 9 months, so it is best to start these indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost.  Large 5 inch roots are white in color and nearly round.  They can grow up to 5 pounds!  Thai Jicama likes sandy, loamy soil.  Flowering must occur for the roots to develop fully, but if you trim the flowers it will help the roots grow larger and keep the vines shorter.  NOTE:  The leaves and seed pods of Thai Jicama are poisonous, so take appropriate precautions.
